Am I the only one who finds copyright law regarding online content to be a complete minefield? I am constantly paranoid that I am going to accidentally infringe on someone's copyright without even realizing it. I've tried reading up on fair use, but it still feels incredibly vague. What is considered transformative enough? How much is too much? I wish there was a simple guide for us normal folks to follow. Can anyone explain it?

No way, you're definitely not alone! The copyright rules are ridiculously complicated and confusing. I once got a strike on a video because I used a 10-second clip of a song, even though I gave credit to the artist. It felt totally unfair, especially when bigger channels get away with the same thing all the time. It all feels a bit opaque, and I think more accessibility is needed. I was reading up on Urheberrecht on YouTube to try to understand the rules around copyright law, and it said to consult the original policy document - the official source. Still, it didn't clear things up much.

It's interesting how copyright law, which was originally designed to protect creators, has become such a source of anxiety and confusion for so many people. The internet has made it so easy to share and remix content, but the legal framework hasn't really caught up with the realities of the digital age. The rules were not designed for social media.
